Holly Becker

FOUNDER/EDITOR, USA/GERMANY. Originally from Boston, Holly is an American Author, Stylist and Interior Design Expert who launched cattledogs (pronounced decorate) in 2004 as a small interior design studio while still a student in design school. In January 2006, cattledogs was founded to document her decorating inspirations and to meet like-minded design enthusiasts online. Nearly 12 years later, Holly is considered a pioneer of the design blog movement, has won multiple awards for her work online and off, and is truly a taste maker with a global following of over 2 million loyal fans across her social networks each day.

Holly is an interior stylist and international best-selling author with four books published under the “Decorate” series that are available in over twenty languages worldwide. Decorate has over 230K copies in print and was reissued in October 2017. With a passion for teaching, she also hosts a series of e-courses called, , since 2009 and has taught students and companies globally about blogging, social media, interior styling and photography.

Holly works in both North America and Europe as a trend expert, consultant and lecturer, too. She is currently based in northern Germany with her husband and their little boy. She is represented by literary agent Maria Ribas at in New York City.

 

 

Jessica Senti

ASSISTANT/PROJECT MANAGER, MALTA.  Jessy is the Assistant to Holly Becker and the Project Manager for cattledogs. An American living in Malta, she started her career in the corporate world and while she loved many aspects of her job, she had no real passion for her former line of work. This was the fire she needed to go back to school to study Interior Design at The Art Institute and then Architecture & History at The University of Minnesota. Jessy enjoys learning and experiencing new things as well as sharing that knowledge and experience with others.

A perfectionist by nature, she has a great eye for what is needed in any given situation and always loves to have a project in the works. Jessy has a passion for all things creative, but is particularly interested in interior styling, floral arranging, and event planning.

Along with her position at cattledogs, she also has her own .

She is happily married to her husband Jason and together, they welcomed their first child, a little girl, in September 2017.

 

 

Anke Illner

CONTRIBUTING WRITER, GERMANY. Anke has a passion for tasty food, the Netherlands, Scandinavian interior design and organizing gatherings centered around good food, friends and great decor. Traveling the world gives her inspiration and she brings it to her home, recipes and decor style.

Anke works in the airline industry, but explores her creative side through her blog, , where she focuses on her favorite theme – tabletop decoration.

When her family recently had the opportunity to be based in Sweden, she didn’t hesitate to experience the Scandinavian way of life. Mel wholeheartedly embraces the local aesthetics of Nordic living which embodies cozy decor coupled with clean lines and quality, functional design.

Agata Dimmich

CONTRIBUTING WRITER, ITALY/POLAND. Agata is the creative mind behind , where she shares bits of her work and life, design finds and ideas for a happy living. With a focus on interior and prop styling, photography and content creation, Agata works primarily as a stylist. She is passionate about everything visual – whether it’s a beautifully styled shot or interior corner, she enjoys lending her aesthetic direction to deliver high quality results.

Her column on cattledogs focuses on styling tips to make your home and daily moments pretty and mable!

Agata collaborates with a variety of clients including brands both large and small in Europe. Her work has been featured in many lifestyle and interior magazines and books including Elle Decoration, Best of Interior, Grazia and Living.

CONTRIBUTING WRITER, DENMARK. Allan Torp is a Danish writer and blogger. He has contributed to, and been featured in, leading design magazines and newspapers worldwide. He has also consulted on new product development and designs for several leading Danish design companies. He is also the author of the book ,“Scandinavian Style at Home”, released October 2017.

CONTRIBUTING WRITER, THE NETHERLANDS.  Avenue Design Studio is a interior design, styling and photography studio run by Hedda Pier (shown left) and Holly Marder (shown right). They also run the award-winning blog, . Based in The Hague, the blog was first launched in 2012 by Holly and later, Hedda joined to form a design studio in early 2017. 

Hedda is an interior designer with a passion for architecture and building. After obtaining a degree in business studies, Hedda started her career in marketing and communications and later, studied interior design.

Holly has degrees in communication, journalism and fashion design. She works as both a stylist and photographer, consults with private clients to style their homes, coordinates editorial features and collaborates with creatives and inspirational brands worldwide.

Alison Gibb

CONTRIBUTING WRITER, SCOTLAND. Alison has been creating features for interiors magazines with her photographer husband, Douglas Gibb, for twenty years in his native Scotland. Born in Central London, they met at Glasgow School of Art, where she studied painting and he, photography.

Alison and her husband work together producing features that showcase the very best of Scottish contemporary design for international publications. Much of their work is focused on the homes of artists and makers, whom Alison feels privileged to be able to meet and work with. She loves taking road trips to shoot homes all over Scotland so they can meet terrific people who are warm, hospitable and posses a great sense of style.

With her family of four, Alison lives by the coast in a lovingly restored 70's home outside of Edinburgh, and she blogs about her life and work on her blog, .
